So heavy processed meat eaters are less likely then the average to die prematurely...?
Also, those who make poor diet decisions like eating excess processed meat are also more likely to make poor diet/lifestyle decisions elsewhere - hi salt/hi fat processed food, excessive drinking, smoking, less fruit and veg, less exercise etc.
There is no way you can establish a reliable causal relationship here.
