TBH, I've leant on cyclists in similar situations. If I've picked a safe line around a stationary bus, moving in a gentle arc, making it obvious what I'm doing, I don't want some cunt squeezing up my inside and potentially forcing me into a wider position at the last minute, as other traffic approaching me from the rear might not have clocked the errant cyclist's imminent manoeuvre, and may not be ready to give me extra room. At least they have the opportunity to do an emergency stop behind the bus, out of any other danger. So ner.
