Yep.. Like I said, the aim wasn't to create a weight weenie.. a plus 1400g frame and rival would be a pretty illogical starting point if I was, not to mention all the other weight compromises. I was aiming for something that was reasonably light but robust and most of all fun to ride. I wanted something that was sub 8kg, this comes in at just over 7.9kg and feels great to ride, so I'm more than happy.
