Interesting story on the BBC website - driver has been charged with attempted murder after knocking down two police officers. I don't doubt that the more serious charge is owing to the fact that it was police officers who were injured, but it's interesting to see some recognition of the fact that some drivers use their cars as a weapon, with clear intention to seriously injure others. If only aggressive driving towards those not in uniform was taken as seriously...
