  • that red colnago above has been terribly done. cable guides too long. brakes in the wrong place. such a shame as it just makes it look cheap.

    dtm

  • Now that it's all clear, and everybody agrees that it's a genuine nag, I've just messages 1st dibs. It's all his if he still wants it.

Also, Hilly Ben, thanks very much for your help.

Having a real look at it, you're right... its been done really scrappily. If it's not a trick of the light...the hoods don't match either.

  • yes I already told you that when you pm'd me
    your s has been respreyd

cheers saarf missed the bit about the respray in all the excitement doh!

  • Hate to be the nit-picker but that brake bridge re-enforcement looks awfully 'Raleigh', cut-outs look like I made them and that hole under the chain stay bridge shouldn't be there! Looks like a copy to me, but hey, it's a hundred quid!! Bargain whatever it is!!

  • Aah wingedangel! Thank you for the kind words but wouldn't go that far... Sure MARIO will do a fine job should Chris consider... Abraco! cc

Chris, Mr Costa is totally right!!! Speak to Mario Vaz about getting a respray...the money you have saved on the frame...ie..about a ton...throw about another £20 at it (depending what you go for...in all fairness having it merckx molteni orange would suit it really well...and as it's a basic colourway with decals it wouldn't be anything like expensive...;D) and that would get you something luscious...really sweet...if you Pm Costa he should have marios details and the correct spec for the paint and decals etc...whichever colourway you choose...his knowledge of 'Nags...is huge...

  • i had the brakes for ages and thought i wouldn't ever get a real colnago, there you. a bit like the story of having some bianchi toe straps and thinking i'll never get a bianchi. the week after i find a full chrome 80s bianchi frame and forks.

  • ooooh..theys lovely...

The only other ones I like more are when they been drilliumed,

  • Looks Great

  • Here's few thoughts should you decide to get your Colnago Super resprayed...
**1. **Dark metallic red - Guiseppe Saronni.
**2. **Dark Metallic blue - Freddie Maertens.
    3. Gunmetal silver - as in the Alberto Masi.
    4. Light blue - as in the unusual French Ganolo.
    5. Molteni Orange - Eddy Merckx.

Also, because of the cloverleaf only on the fork crowns the frame in this thread may be mid 1970s...

    Abraço! cc
