The new ones already have disc mounts don't they?
Just a case of new wheels if the current ones aren't compatible and a brake set. Most brake sets come bled ready for you so all you have to do is bolt on and tie down the hose. Getting a mechanic to fit them would be silly imo as it's so simple and for any adjustments you're undoing the bolts which take them off.
Perhaps go to the shop with the bike so you get what you need like the correct size adapters for the rotors you're going to use but fit them at home.
