  • Right guys, want to ask a huge favour if anyone would mind ... I've got all the bits and bobs ready and sorted to get this bike back to it's original form and i'm in desperate need of some assistance with fitting things so wondered if someone would be able to help in return for some beer tokens ??

    I've got:
-Crank that i listed before on here
-Set of lovely mavic box rims
-The original box rim from the back (with gears on)

I'd really need some help firstly in getting the crank off - as it's stuck on from the drive side (threads are screwed). I've been told that i could maybe hit the axel through and take the crank off that way ??? I'll be honest though i'm really not sure how to do this or if it's even possible.

I want to fit a spacing kit ideally to the original box rim with a single speed cog on. I did pop it in to Halfrauds to try and get the gears off and they said they haven't got a tool that will get them off as it's an odd size. I'm aware that they are crap in there but i'm currently in High Wycombe and there isn't anywhere else.

Really i just need someone to help me get the new crank on and then hoepfully someone who can advise on a spacing kit...where to buy and how to fit (although i'm sure that's fairly simple). Got a nice set of amber wall tires to go on as well and so keen to get it fixed up to it's original crowning glory as i'm moving into London next week.

I'm going to be in Balham from friday night all the way through next week so any help would be really really great !!!!!
