I were reading about these a while back, it was some fella up north what used to make em like this. Can't remember what his justification was for it... like more strength or speed or flexitivity or something, can't remember. I think it name checks the original in the eBay ad, calling this a "replica". Y'know.

It's a Flying Gate frame, either from Trvor Jarvis or there was another builder who made them originally I think....

I've accidentally accumulated knowledge on this sort of era through being unable to resist vintage lightweights that come my way, and subsequently needing to find out what they are. To be honest, my favourite era of vintage bikes is probably late 70's early 80's -
