  • I'm not trying to be the defender of vegetarianism on the internet, as I honestly don't care what anyone eats, but this point is stupid. The discussion was in relation to Kev saying eating cheap meat means you have to acknowledge your food will be pumped full of hormones, offal and gristle. None of these things are in vegertarian food, especially not if you make your own food (we don't all live off Quorn and Linda McCartneys). Pointing out that some animals will die in the process of harvesting food that vegetarians doesn't make any point and doesn't make the food non-vegetarian.

    I do acknowledge this. I wasn't trying to put down vegetarians for their choices. I was wondering if Kev would acknowledge that, knowing the little we now know about the food supply chain, eating processed food of any sort runs the risk of eating "shit" as he put it. If you totally avoid all processed foods good on you. If not then you can't be sure what you're eating.
