No real pictures because I don't have a proper computer here

Beautiful, looks like quite a drop.
-
• #33
Thanks, it's roughly (I suck at measuring things) 29cm drop.
I still can't decide if I need a shorter stem, currently 100mm which I'm sure should be too long but it feels ok, I think I'll try it with 80mm when I have a chance.

• #34
Where did you ride to? The drop okay?
-
• #35
I took a train actually, I'm out of town for the weekend. I just did about 20 miles along the seafront in probably its ideal conditions, flat straight roads with big headwinds, and then a bit of offroading through some woods. The drop is fine.

Aerobars feel great. They look less great.

Looks like Eastbourne!
But then it all looks the same to me. -

Shinkuu, i think you may have my favourite collection of bikes of all of the forumengers, Les is my all time fav and this is a close 2nd!
-
• #39
both so ridiculous!
-
• #40
I like lo pros and I feel they should be as ridiculous as possible. Plus I'm planning to make my daily a bit classier so I have to balance that out.
I think I'm going to keep the double spok for a while, I like it and I'm not sure I can manage the expense or hassle of China carbon and custom drilled hubs right now. I want to change the cranks sooner but I need to borrow some Omniums and see if they'll fit.
-
• #41
Borrow for how long, just to fit?
-
• #42
Yeah I literally just need to whack them on and see if the spider clears the chainstay, I imagine it won't but I want to be sure.
-
• #43
I have some and haven't taken delivery of my new frame yet so they're just sitting here, wanna try them?
-
• #44
Oh yeah cool, I'll have time tomorrow or Tuesday to ride over but I'll pm you when I'm not half asleep. Thanks.
-
• #45
Farrrkin love this!
-
• #46
Well with Indra's help I've found out that Omniums don't clear the chainstay but they do look boss, I'm thinking about getting it crimped now.
-
• #47
How much more room do you need? I was going to space my Omniums out by about 1 or 2mm to straighten my chainline. That could be a less drastic and cheaper option. Plus we could share the same pack of spacers from velosolo or sumthin'.
-
• #48
I didn't realise you could space them? (Only because I've seen so many people online saying they don't fit and they can't adjust them so I assumed...)
It's only a couple of mm and a big chainring should clear as well once the cranks are moved out.

Markypoos has his Omniums spaced out by about 1 or 2mm as he had the same problem as you. Butters helped him out and he might be the best person to ask about it actually.

Cool. I'm definitely going to need something better than my bodge on the stronglights as I just tried 130bcd cranks and although the spider cleared (just) a 48t ring really didn't. I guess it must have been built for a wider chainline? And I guess that's why I got it with 110bcd cranks and a 36t ring.
sound.
