It's weird - I don't really think twice about knocking out 20k / 25k any more - I supposed that it's all about building up to it & making that sort of distance a habit.
As I get closed to marathon time, I'll be putting in some longer stuff to get my legs* and hips, more worryingly, used to the distance, as they're what are holding me back.
Last weekend I still had the century ride from the day before in my legs, and I was feeling a bit precious.
Malta half this weekend. Downhill all the way, in the sun. See if I can't know out a 1:35 (which is about a 1:40 in flat money).
