The only numbers you can trust, and the only ones which mean anything, are the ones you get from your own tunnel time with you on the bike. Your position, your wheels, your handlebars. Manufacturer tests and magazine tests just let you narrow the field, so you only need to borrow 3 or 4 bikes to take to the tunnel, which will keep your testing bill the right side of £5k including trying different wheels, skinsuits and helmets.
