^^ I've given this some thought in the past - The challenge with wraps (as opposed to lettering) occurs at joints/lugs etc. I suspect that base material and adhesive selection will be fairly critical here. It's clearly doable as there are plenty of examples about including full frame jobs
There's a thread on Singletrack forum that may be of some use.
Another approach to consider might be water transfer printing
