anyone had an experience wearing the classic bib short & the pro one? any difference?
If you are skinny choose PRO team bibs, otherwise classic. I don't like the white rapha logo on the pro team so I am looking at assos and sportful for my next purchase

I've just put a brand new Transfer Jacket (XXL Charcoal) up for sale in the Classifieds forum. Sold out at Rapha until March.
XXL 3/4 Bib Shorts too, also brand new.

What are the bib shorts like? Thinking of getting a pair, although not the 3/4 ones

Nice.. But pricey..

But seriously.. They are good quality. I love just as much, if not a tiny bit more, than my Assos.

I wouldn't hold my breath. Having worn them for your commute every day for a year and a half, I would say that it's just normal wear and tear. Not sure what the "life expectancy" is, but if I shall be happy if I get a year out of mine.
I have exactly the same issue. Basically gusset is completely knackered. In my more whimsical moments I consider sending them back to Rapha as shurely they should fix things i bought (Even in sample sale!) but I am not that much of a twunt

Nay, just send it back with a note saying 'darn my greasy gusset you faux-rouleur bitches.'
they'll wake up the elves, feed them some of pantani's tears from a kryptonite phial and have them jump right on it.

This is tempting. Alternative is chucking it away. This is more fun

well its being marketed as a "classic" amongst the softshell and jersey. both scheybelers designs and arguably their best known products. those reflective stripes look awful, weird pockets, odd black shoulder stripes. i find it odd that such a design led company is releasing such shit at the moment

Talking of the softshell, mine got its first nikwaxing after about 3 years of on off use and looks spanky again. I am considering cutting off the increasingly frayed and irritating thumb cuff thingies

But it appears to be being worn by Dominique Gabellini who by all accounts is a fucking bad man on a racing bicycle.
