^^^^ Exact reasons I am not going retina. If I was new to this I'd be all like "but do I need to repair/update it?" YES I DO. I have a late 2009 unibody macbook pro. I have upgraded the RAM and Hard Drive to SSD. Otherwise the display itself is a huge reason in itself to buy it.
