plenty clear, can adjust size.
the main feature handwriting is a magnified text area. you can change dimensions of the magnification to write larger or smaller using the same hand movements. can also zoom in and out.
there is the ability to cut and paste what you've written too, very handy for creating room, organising etc.

realistically you can't write above 30 words per minute (20 more likely) with a stylus, but it's ideal for annotation. when wanting to write sentences switch to keyboard.
