I'm quite comfortable riding on the drop nearly all the time nowadays, also I went with a very specific Shimano brake levers that braking on the hood I found personally is pretty comfortable, no brake levers is ever going to be as easy to pull on the top as on the drop.
Still, I'm now worrying about how it'll feel in the end, luckily got some Campag record singlespeed levers...
