I've just tried my first bag of Hasbean's Ethiopian Yirgacheffe Wote (Natural). This is the first Yirgacheffe I've had which is up there with Monmouth's Guji Gorbiche (natural). It's seriously fruity with flavours of blueberry, dried fruit / Soreen fruit loaf and a kind of pine-needle fresheness. No sourness, but a good amount of cocoa-like acidity which cuts through milk. The roast was medium which is great as I was worried that Hasbean might have roasted it lighter as they tend to do. Brewed in the Aeropress today, and will try the espresso machine tomorrow.
