  • AFAIK theres 3 things going on here.

    1) During a run you can basically vibrate a shit out of your lower intestine. Solved for the most part by timing your eating, and emptying your intestines of as much poo as possible.

    2) Sports suppliment intolerance. Never had this. But I hear its pretty common.

    3) You basically drain your liver of all energy reserves. I guess this could cause you body to freak out some.

    Regarding the 1st one. Could this vibration effect irritate your intestine in a way that lasts a couple of days.
    Regarding the 2nd one. What are folk eating before, during, and after?
    Regarding the 3rd one. Does any of those that get this suffer the same after a long bike ride?

    Just making guesses.
