oops, I think Mr Schick may have a valid objection, although the St John he's linked is an RC place.
There's a C of E church dedicated to St John the Baptist at Hoxton but I suspect the Hackney one may be a different St John. It's presumably linked to the Knights Templar (as in St John's Ambulance, St John of Jerusalem etc).
