Pretty sure they take loads more with inners fitted.
24 2x will be fine for the front.
The Novatech front is 159g, you have 8 more spokes + nipples, and it uses big heavy track nuts.
So a 65g road front, with a 15g bolt on ti skewer is going to be like 140-150g lighter. With little extra cost.
I'd probably just use the novatec rear to save pennys (how much is the mack?). Its a symmetrical build so you dont get the same max tension as a road wheel. So 28 spokes is fine.Just take time building if you use flexy spokes. I find it a touch tricky.
