Obviously puts them in stark contrast to Rangers downfall, but also alot of middling/relegation fodder Premiership teams, I'm looking at you QPR, who are throwing money at players who don't seem that interested or hungry to help the club move forward, and in so doing further their own career, when a bigger club comes knocking, as it seems another premiership club on the cusp will come and offer them money to walk with them into relegation...
Neil Lennon is also a manager who seems to have done well and I'd be surprised if other english clubs didn't come a knocking, a manager who can take 4points off Barcelona should be on most chairman's list if they are looking at someone to take on the hot seat, did somebody mention Chelsea..
Anyway the mighty spurs managed to get past Newcastle with the help of Bale, who showed how opportunistic and quick he can be. Bit bemused by the whole Tottenham are a one man team, he's been in outstanding form the last month or two, but which team doesn't have a player like that, Utd Van Persie, Liverpool Suarez, Chelsea Mata, Swansea Michu, it seems a bit odd to be pointing out Bale's importance to us, yet forget how reliant every other team is on their star... (colour me confused)
Got the two way european glory that is Lyon, home and away, and I'll be there Thursday, looking for a good home performance, before a mini murderers row of fixtures, lots of london derbies coming up, which won't be easy to slip through..
Arsenal game is looking really important, what with them being only four points behind right now, and us looking to nip past Chelsea for third place and automatic qualification to the Champions League. Adebayor's going to have to repay some of that faith AVB has shown in him, and I'm hoping Holtby scores a couple, as he's shown he's got the skill, passing, and commitment, looks a good signing, if he could get into the goals, he'd take a load off our strikerless attack, and Mr Bale..
