Much as I love the idea of disc hub conversions, if you're trying to keep costs down I think you're much better just going for an On-one track rear.
While they may not be light the extra £50 odd allows you to buy more expensive but lighter spokes or rims. Lighter rims are more likely to be noticed than a light hub.
