  • Sorry, yes. The easel can be any angle you like if you are prepared to sacrifice from the edge of the image. (It also means a perfectly level horizon on the negative can become less than perfect when printing...)

    Strongly recommend developing and printing your own stuff, if only for the sense of acheivement irrespective of quality. I do my own monochrome (and have always paid someone else to process what limited colour I shoot) - sometimes to good effect, often not as good as I would like, but invariably finishing with a sense of personal satisfaction.
