Got a new smartarse phone so have competed against a couple of segments local to my parents'. Just back from my second run over a mile sprint where I lost a full 21 seconds against my first and best effort. Wind was a hindrance though.
I'm not yet familiar with Strava so got excited when I saw I'd chalked up my first 'achievement', but given this meant failing to beat a PB it soon lost its allure. The app and Strava itself are perfect for a boring fart like me and a wonder of human achievement, not far behind the pyramids.
