Well it looks very nice, but definately is not "perfect" ;) And it could be, just like peter's orange CM :P

I think it will be very hard to reproduce the depth of colour and quality shine of your frame, and almost impossible to accurately spraypaint the decals (check out he gold line detailing for instance) like you proposed.

I've been into classic bikes for a couple of years now, and to be honest, many bikes with patina have an advantage in the looks department in my opinion. I'm not talking about damaged paintjobs, but even those can be very attractive.

Sorry mate, I got hold of some Weinmann ones off eBay cheaply....they fit perfectly and look very good, IMHO.....I couldn't find any Galli ones either

Incidentally, my bike is original paint, and some of the decals are a bit flaky, but I would never consider a respray on it....it is only original paint once!

I have made a few changes to my Gazelle Champion Mondial Jubile. I have changed the stem back to a Dura-Ace 7400 and put the original wheelset back on. I am just after Dura-Ace post and a nice Flite TI saddle.

Gazelle Champion Mondial. Took about a year to find all the period correct parts, from the correct Campagnolo SR groupset. Still in search of someone who has some SR callipers they'd like to swap for these plain Record ones...

Clearly I've not taken these rubbish phone photos from a good angle because the bike looks considerably less lanky in real life.

Rode it to France and back (with different wheels) for Le Tour last year and it was an absolute joy: performed like a new bike. I think Gazelle knew what they were doing when it came to big frames.

What a pity they're no longer making racing bikes and have no real mention of their history on their modern website.

Not exactly a vintage bike market, but I think you can find anything over there. But I must admit, I've never been there.
Eihallen jumble is not worth a visit. Really.

Wow, lovely track bike. And my size, too.
Just too much $$$ for now.

Thought i'd share my current view, since we are talking about Gazelle's.
In front is a late '70s Gazelle AA, first gen. Dura Ace which i'm restoring for the father of a friend.
In the back is a '94 Gazelle Pista wich is getting a different groupset. Now it has a mid '80s Campa Record group, but i think it is to old for this frame (and the Somec needs this group ;) It will be getting a full Dura Ace 7710 group once my BB comes in.
