  • I know this may be contrary to the idea of the thread a little, but I'm trying to gain a bit of weight, obviously I want this to be muscle not a beer gut. I'm trying to up the protein intake, but it gets pretty impractical at work, and expensive.

    Although I'm quite anti these supplement type things, does anyone here drink protein shakes? Am thinking of trying them for a bit. If do, any reccommendations for a value for money but effective brand? I heard myprotein is quite good.

    Been doing the same thing for a while. I just eat a little more than normal, make sure I have the calories I need when doing CV activities (cycling, running etc.), drink a protien shake every morning on top of breakfast, and every evening instead of snacking. Been a slow process, possibly because all the running, and cutting out of evening snacks. But, Christmas aside, I've been losing fat, and gaining weight since last summer.
