It doesn't come with the clear rubber tubes that stop it rubbing/rattling against the frame and I think the normal kit might come with some ferrules too (but they aren't essential. I just hooked up a front brake (with a drop lever) using only the 40cm extension and a separate cable inner. It came with loads of spare of the black cable liner too.
