Picked up a Transfer jacket. Couple of things to note:
It doesn't play nice with velcro. After one evening out with it on the bike, my cycling gloves and bag's flap velcro had made a meal of the "Thermoroubaix" side panels and cuffs. Not pretty.
As stated on the Rapha site, sizes come up large. Got an XXL Hardshell, and went for the XL Transfer.
Anyway, returning because of the velcro issues. Might get another and be more careful with it, but with velcro on most gloves and bags, it seems a shame to have to treat it so carefully. For wearing with anything with velcro, just forget about it. Was nice and toasty to cycle in though...

Transfer jacket getting a lot of love. Anyone use something similar?
Yes, this.

+1 Rapha merino. But still not as good as New Zealand chocolatefish merino!

Does the arse panel on the city trousers look as obvious in real life? I.E. Are they not suitable for work?
They are smart and practical I use mine in the office all the time! :)

Another City Trousers question, is the material similar to the original Rapha Trousers or is it thinner/lighter/softer?
-
• #11284
City trousers are thinner, lighter and I was disappointed by the cut. Original Rapha trousers are better quality IMO.

Baggy butt?
Limited ball bag room?
Floss-crotch seam?
Too slim a fit? -

Received package today and one top ( ordered 3 ) is missing. Gonna try to call c/s tomorrow..
Anyone had the same experience? -
• #11287
No, but your postie must be loving his new Rapha jersey ;)

My order did end up coming last Friday after all. It was too small though . I called Rapha and they said they had one medium left in stock and that they would put it to one side for me.
They actually called me this morning to say that they had received my top back and that I would receive my new one first thing in the morning.
Actually quite good service. -

Don't think it will fit him haha.

Fit issues : Rain Jacket.
So I ordered 2 sizes, medium and a large. Medium is really snug around chest and armpits but perfect in arms and around the torso. But a merino base layer and jersey makes it quite tight.
Large is more comfy around the shoulders but a bit flappy round the stomach and back.So whats the fit meant to be? Really snug or a bit flappy/loose? I'd like to know others opinions before I send one back.

seriously?
what every feels right dude x -

My dad wear his black city trousers to work with his suit, doesn't look any different.
It's a totally different product. My biggest fear was how well matched the panel and trouser would remain- thus far it still looks ok. The older trouser was more carrot shaped, as opposed to the straighter cut of the newer trouser but in time and with much wear it bobbles badly.

what every feels right dude xYeah, serious. (I know... whats happened to people thinking for themselves etc.) just wondering what the intended fit is meant to be and if anyone else has one. Both sizes work, just not optimally.

Have you tried wearing it with either full jersey pockets, or the with something in the pocket on the jacket? You might find it's no longer flappy under those circumstances... ?

Ah, genius! I have forgotten about that scenario, which is every time I'm riding. The large would be the better bet then. Cheers Mr Munch

Unless its a jersey/base layer - I think going for the more roomy option is always preferable.
I'm still yet to receive my kit suitcase, so that would be 700 items as yet un-delivered. It's been dispatched, I know because I had a meeting on Friday in the room where it used to all be. Sure it will turn up soon.

I had exactly the same problem with the classic wind jacket... Although I decided to return it for the larger rain jacket over the M/L wind runner.
Wind runner is a great jacket but too flimsy for the unpredictable british weather... Suppose it does what it says on the tin though

Some prices went up today.
Boxer shorts up £10 to £40. Padded boxers up £10 to £50. Classic Wind jackets up £5 to £170 for men and women, etc etc. A few prices down, like the white shirt. Edit: Prices changed again.
Winter Collar - not keen. Too tight, especially around the face when pulled up. Not very versatile. This is better:

Essentials Case has gone up too. Was just about to buy one but will give it a miss along with the other nicknacks I was gonna buy.
Big mistake on their part I think. Lower margins/sensible prices on the more affordable products will entice new members to the parish, who in turn will spend more money over the long term and recommend others.
Chasing profits on these items is a great way to shoot yourself in the foot.
With the Waffa sale ending on sunday, what are the chances of a discount code appearing soon after? It's for something nice but a little pricey I want to buy.
