It was the bodge-factor that attracted me to the disc-cog tbh.
I think that by and large, lock ring alternatives are just a solution looking for a problem. (as long as you have a decent lock-ring and reasonable hub you should be ok). - I just thought I'd see what the alternatives were like just out of curiosity.
