And yeah the weather was fantastic after the snow/ice last weekend. I spent the last 50km with my lights on, front and back. The dynamo light does the job very well, it doesn't illuminate the road like a car would, but certainly as much as I need on an audax. Big improvement on my crappy cree light.
Yeah functionally the wire is fine, but it still stands out :/
and if I ran it inside the fork leg you'd still see the cable ties (well unless they were yellow!)
I think i'll wait it out 'till I get the new mudguards, and if my cable is too short then, look into lengthening it/getting a new one. With a longer cable I could route it via the mudguard which should be more subtle
