• Do it fixed.
I havent done any long distance before but am going to do some longish rides to warm up for it. It's going to be pretty relaxed i think

  • I might bring the interesting argos lo-pro if it's built by then...

    http://www.lfgss.com/thread100007.html

That Argos is ridiculous. You building it geared or fixed? If I wasn't so over ridden with bikes and projects I would've bought it myself.

Its my first real long haul ride, is it wise to do on single speed fixie ?? or should I wimp out and switch to 18t free wheel ?

Might be an idea to get some miles in before hand, the pace won't be ridiculous but we'll hope to make progress.

would you put deep crabon wheels tho?

  • ^ I'm afraid it's going to be a cheap fixed build for now, but when leave uni and start a job in September, the fun can begin.

  • This ride is shaping up nicely! Even with the 20% LFGSS Flounce rate will still be a good turnout.

would you put deep crabon wheels tho?

I think grey box section on high flange hubs, with gum walls.

  • Apollo, why did you change JB to jakebrown!?

  • Count yourself lucky

At least people still know who yours is!

  • I need to get this bike done so I can get some miles in..
DO we have a route planned?

  • really, Borgan?

  • Standard slave to Brighton I guess, Laner has volunteered to navigate, as long as we don't bomb off downhill, miss the turning, and take a 15 mile "short cut" again....

    (I preferred that route.)

  • Will have to get the risers back out, road drops and levers will be totally unsuitable for ditchling

  • Y u no cambridge (& back)... such a fast route...

It was, pretty sure Apollo walked it though.

I rode the first bit, then got off as soon as the rocks were above the height of the tyre profile.

    fuck that!

  • Call yourself a fixeh skidder?

    Weak.

  • u no wanna scratch them expensive rims?

  • I'd rather not go offroad if thats all okay with you lads. Unless for a halfway picnic #nohomo

  • dont worry there wont be any off roading

  • Aww I enjoy a little HHSCX
