Massive props to Apple btw. Complained (gently) about the new mac being announced the day after I bought the old one, they gave me an extended warranty until the new one came out. When the 28" release was delayed, they told me to take the 21" with extended warranty until it came out.
Pretty pleased with that.

Another vote for Crucial - I got 16Mb for my iMac about a year ago. Crucial website will diagnose your machine to make sure you order the correct memory. Hasn't missed a beat and performance with multiple applications open is significantly enhanced.

If you have applecare, take it in. (get a genius appt)

worst case: they will offer you a new (refurbed) unit for a lump of cash that is distinctly less than a new one.

best case: could be anything.

first hugely useful 'writing' app I've found.

6.0.1 update has bricked my missus' 3GS.

Apple will only replace for £120, which I am peeved about as the phone was working a-ok before the update.

After update then restore, phone just reverts to recovery mode. Any idea / advice?
