Couldnt the brake be a center pull afair, with the cable going through the headtube. Would look good with the Cervelo style TT routing.

Wow, if they're going to race on Reynolds 953, I'll doff my cap to them.
Very highly doubt it's a re as Genesis haven't released any info on the 953 till now.

Much as I like the Genisis and love the Super Acciaio, what's the point of using steel when you carbon gives you more design flexibility, is lighter and probably now cheaper?

steel is real innit

I agree, so it mean one thing; marketing, as displayed by amey above who now believed that steel is as good as carbon and are getting rid of his Cannondale.

Speaking of well made aluminum, this looks well promising: http://road.cc/content/feature/73734-dom-mason-kinesis-alloy-road-bikes-are-here-stay

^^^^ Headtubes are horrid.

Read the Roleur article, quite interesting. The tubing has been developed specifically for genesis by reynolds. One of the main advantages was that Reynolds dies are highly customizable and depending on tubing shapes / sizes there was the ability to fine tune the stiffness / ride quality to a higher degree than a carbon frame
Nice frame - don't like the graphics / paint job.

Yes, but at least with that you're talking about bringing the cost down. Plus Kenesis make "UK bikes".
This too looks interesting:
Read the Roleur article.
Fair play I haven't yet, but will.
EDIT: is there a way of reading it without paying £10?

I kind of doubt this. I mean, if we compare to high-end carbon frames like BMC etc? I though the point of high end carbon was exacly the same (fine tuning tubes). And I'd assume carbon does this even stiffer, lighter etc.

Just look at what argonaut is doing.
-
• #72773
As in they've moved into carbon because of the degree of flexibility in design?

• #72774
quite a porny shot (the rest are too dark imo)

Fixed
I ride both...
There's been quite a lot of chatter about this steel bike from Gene.
See last issue of Rouleur for an excellent article about the bike, the tubes and the why-for
