Thats a mistake on my part. Thats not the model I'm buying.
The POC Receptor Bug has loads of removable bits of insulation, even the bits covering the ears come off. Plus the vents can be blocked or left open, so its pre tunable. I currently ride with a beanie + roadie helmet + a helmet cover. Which isnt comfortable, and doesnt protect as well as a ski helmet. Might even be able to use totally stripped on summer trails. Never felt my road cycling gear was suitable for rocky off-roading.
