On another note, how would I find out what clearance I have got - width-wise? If I measure how far apart the seat stays (or forks) are at the appropriate point, in mm, is that the widest tyre I can get (give or take some mm)? I mean, if I measure the gap as 40mm, I am assuming I am safe with some 700x35, but pushing it to try 700x38. Is that how it works?
