I ride this
And need some forks which look like this
Does anyone know of a similar looking 1 1/8th steel or aluminium, need to be drilled or drillable for a brake but with the smallest clearance possible, also quite a low rake.
Whoever wins and finds me some will get a free 'frame keychain' I'm working on at work. Peace

You can always try a set of those.
I have never seen a fork of that quality with an 1 1/8" steerer. -

Hi, I bought my track bike bike complete for the princely sum of £20.00. Since then i have used the same bars and stem but changed the grouppo over to Miche Primato (C2004). The saddle is a 2005 Ltd swallow.
At time of purchase, the bike was equipped with Campag record Hubs; Rear being a Route Super Champion Competition, high flange (with 1969 National Track Championship scrutineers sticker), the front a Fiamme Red Label, low flange.
I do not have any idea of the BB beyond it being a Campagnolo version marked with Dims only. The cranks are/were by Williams. The stem is a 1" quill with Cinelli alloy bars.
I am really keen to ID the frame though. I am about to restore it and would like to know who the frame builder was/is. It has a hole for a break on the boss at the rear (could have been drilled any time), but otherwise dimensionally is a track bike; 11" floor to BB, steep angles etc.
Can anyone please help in ID'ing the frame or point me in the right direction from the photos below? There are no serial markings at all anywhere on the frame other than 'EO' on the BB shell in a diamond
Thanks for reading

^ 26.2 on the seatpost is an initial clue....
I think a hefty plain gauge 531 frame might possibly come out at 26.2, but 27.0/27.2 are much more common, is it a particularly heavy frame?
Whatabout the outer diameter of the seattube? Measure it, the standard is 1.125" (28.6mm) which would mean pretty thick walls with a 26.2 seat postUnless it's French, a bike of that era would most likely be made from Reynolds 531 or Columbus SL or SLX.... the single-butted seat tube was 0.9mm thick at the bottom and 0.6mm thick at the top giving a 27.4ish opening into which a 27.2mm seatpost would usually fit.
For bigger frames, heftier tubes were used, like Columbus SP with 1mm wall thickness at plain gauge. This would mean 26.5 - 26.6 ish....
Curious. It looks like an excellent frame, very elegant. Are the track ends marked Shimano?
That'd be another clue, I'm beginning to wonder if it might be japanese perhaps.....Do you have a serial number on the frame? if so, where and what is it?

Im wanting help to identify this frame. I found an identical one here but mine has no frame number in the usual places -
http://www.lfgss.com/thread82600.htmlI have been told it might have been built by Ron Thomas

Back in the early 90's Malcolm Elliott rode with Seur, on an Otero
All the ones I remember were Red & White, but my memory's far from infalible!!!
Here's a video of Him at the Giro

Anybody got infos on Mercier? I got this frame for a while now laying around, still searching for info on the year, parts and decals to fit.
It has Campagnolo drop-outs, so a bit unusual for a french bike, and no eyelets. bad paint job, so I think it was repainted. Another strange thing are the cable housings on the right downside of the top tube, haven't seen this on any other Mercier before.
more pics
http://fotos.rennrad-news.de/s/12810I will build it up with Shimano 600 Arabesque as the back brake will fit best this way. The whole set weights ~2900g, so I think it is made of Reynolds 531 or some kind of Columbus steel but the diametre is 26.4mm or .6mm, so probably no 531 or SL.
