    For some reason I have too. Seeing as this is the Rolex page I'll come clean.

    I have had for a long time a 1002, built in 1973 but not bought until 1981;

    as well as a 1970 Explorer that was my father's;

    and to add bling to my life, and to waste a large refund not fixing the house, I picked up this from a dealer in Basingstoke ten days ago;

    I'm still a bit uncertain about it. It looks like the sort of watch worn by a Porsche Cayenne driver who ticked the "yellow calipers" option.

    With the standard black face, and an unstylised second hand it would be better. It wouldn't make it smaller (it's massive compared to the older models) but it wouldn't be borderline gaudy.

    One of the original models is much nicer. There's one on ebay right now, with a $40,000 price tag;

    My refund wasn't big enough...
