Finished this today! Not sure what was going on with the front derailleur, but it shifts fine now.
Still needs a few little tweaks. Sounds like the chain is rubbing, but I can't quite pinpoint where. Sounds like its not going through the rear derailleur properly. It also skips on the cassette when the pressure is put down on it (like climbing in the big ring). The front brake squeals like a molested pig, the rear is silent though.
Took about three minutes to get used to the SRAM shifting. I was a bit worried, but it's really nice to use.

Also, I listened to Murder By Death, Murder City Devils, Rites Of Spring and Tarantel while I built it up.
