• I have an array of watches. I own one battery operated watch, a Swatch which I use for backpacking type holidays. I have a Suunto Core all black for skiing and general sporting-type activities and I have an Explorer, a Sea-Dweller and an Air King which I bought for the missus from the year of her birth ('82) from Rolex. I also have a Breitling Navitimer, a Tag Heuer Monaco, as well as a mid-sixties Seamaster and Favre Leuber both bought from "on here".

I have already lined up what I want next: an IWC Mark IV and then maybe a Portuguese. I do still fancy a Braun watch too...

My love for decent quality timepieces will never die. They are things of beauty which I lovingly admire. They all cost what they cost and the maintenance of these things is never cheap (apart from in the case of the Swatch - I must have got the one with the atomic battery, 'cos the fucker hasn't stopped in 6 years...), but if you own a piece or pieces of precision equipment then you will always have to spend money on the upkeep.
