BTW did I tell you that I am starting a charity to help fight getting old. I wont actually try to stop the passage of time but I will talk to people who are getting older, about getting older whilst we are both getting older. I will do this in the pub. With people I know.
I will not take any money from the charity but will need a new bike to get to the pub on. And a few bob for drinks.
To show support I will sell you a watch. It can be a constant remainder of the passage of time and the need to fight it. I will not be fighting it. The watch will cost £100 and be made by my corporate partner Casio. Who will sponsor my trips to the pub. This sponsorship will be in no way related to my charity.
This is a fantastic idea, may I suggest the name 'Livelong'?

Just a word of warning: have any of you ever watched Oprah?
I have and I'm blacker than that bitch. She's a fucked up role model that, for a bunch of reasons too boring and many to list here, middle-America wank over. She boils my piss. She needs to toughen up and stop being such a pussy. They should have set Jeremy Kyle loose on LA, he'd have come home crying (real tears) and with two new arseholes.

This. I might even have paid to watch that.
Having said that, this article in the Guardian is quite interesting.

As a honkey I won't weigh in on the race implications of Oprah's media empire, but I will say I find her programme and almost all associated media completely intolerable to consume.
I like her book club though. How could I front on an initiative which encourages people to read, especially when they seem to be out of the self-education loop and she tries to get them to read Faulkner and other Actual Authors.

Yes - thats the one. As you have published it on the interwebs you have infringed my copyright. You will be hearing from my lawers (fininced by LIVELONG)

I'm as honky as they come, but that's my point. She's fake as fuck, and 'Murica buy into that shit every time.
Old Jezza would have melted him on the spot and then told him to get the fuck off stage and see Graeme for some well needed counselling.

Bolted. To be fair the IOC said it would await the outcome of the UCI's decision.
Armstrong's window to appeal against the stripping of his titles by the UCI has lapsed hence today's announcment. It doesn't stop the IOC being a bunch of corrupt cunts though.

^^^ I can't be arsed to read all that, and if I could I'd struggle to make much sense of it.
What's the short and simple of it?

It's a http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Qui_tam case, where Landis, as the whistleblower, and the US Goverment are seeking the return of what they allege are misappropriated funds from the US Postal Service, which is a Federal organisation, which were meant for sponsorship of a cycling team but included, against the terms of the agreement, the operation of a doping ring.

Basically they are looking to recover the $30 odd millions dollars of sponsorship money paid to Tailwind Sports and if they do, Landis will get a significant chunk of it.

What time is the Oprah interview on? Any ideas where it can be streamed? Sorry if I've missed this info somewhere...

Short and simple re finances, more than 50% is spent on salary, advertising and professional fees (lawyers, accountants etc)
