The police thing seems quite bad, although 19k ain't London pay, it's a drop from 22k. Also they can still start on 22k if the force wants to and they have previous (the good kind like PCSO) and can progress more quickly apparently. I don't think anywhere is really hiring coppers anyway so I doubt it'll make too much difference. Gives me something to talk about when they bollock me on Thursday for going places I shouldn't go.
