Versalius - absolutley, it's easy to get to the start from London bridge or the Overground from to Croydon as well is just a few miles form the start...
I did attempt it before Christmas with the same guys, we dropped out after 100km as the wether was beyond a joke - it was raining so much our gloves were filling up with water and hands were going blue and numb. To date I have only ever completed 1 200km audax (though strangely have a 100% success rate with the other relevant SR distances over that).
I've been pretty slack so far this year so I'm not sure of dates yet but I reckon I'll try and pencil in the other Audax run by the same organiser in the next few weeks as well - I'll have a look at proposed dates and get back to you!
Also - I'm sure we met on the Anfractuous? I was riding a knackered old black Ridgeback touring bike...
