I'd pay £300 for the frame if split.

Just spoke to blb, they said frame was special cut on seat tube to shorten wheel base etc. (hope understood correctly)

If people really walk into a bike shop and pay those prices, I might open a bike shop.
Enjoy paying your shop rent, staff costs, taxes and dealing with crappy distributors!
They have to make a living.
It looks expensive on the face of it but hopefully the owner got some joy from it.
Also I think we sometimes forget the hidden cost of becoming experts in all this and the time we spend sourcing parts and building stuff up. Sometimes it's OK to pay a bit just to get something done, if you have that luxury. The colors aren't to my taste but it looks like a solid build.
TL;DR nice bike, hope it sells, best of luck.

Second dibs frame, too.

Dibs Miche seatpost (depending on split) - PM sent.

Nerg'd for non NJS saddle, tubs and lacing.

With that price built he'd get my bike, (almost) full NJS too, and £200 change. But yeah, hope it sells.

You forget the time investment in learning enough to know what to look for, waiting for the right parts to come up for sale and the skill to put it together.
Walking in to a shop takes half an hour, and for that you pay a premium.
Part from trying to get more monies than it's worth second hand I really struggle to see the issue here.

Dibs the brake lever and Brake if you split. I hope you get some decent money back for your mate or family. :)

All,
Sorry for delay. Have heard back from friend and he would like to sell the bike in one piece.
I'll be back in touch tomorrow hopefully when he has decided on new offer price.
Thanks.

tbh, i really think your fd should just ride it to his heart contents, or keep it for a good 30-40 years in pristine condition and sell it then

You should really tell you friend it won't be too difficult to take the parts apart. Basically you need about a handful of tools and that's it. It's all very simple. Wouldn't take more than an hour. You'd make significantly more money back. Just trying to help you out like.

There are buyers for most of the bits on here already. It's going to get so much closer to the asking price OP.
People here are (generally) helpful, if you give it to someone trustworthy I'm sure they'll sell it on for you and give you and your friend the money. Genuinely.

Someone help this lad part it out, so far from the cycling community all he has experienced is being over charged then ridiculed.
If you're near E3 I have tools I can lend.
Sorry if I've missed something...Couldnt agree more, no matter how the bike has come to be, it needs to go. in SW4 if tools/help is required.

+1
I've tools in E1 and don't mind helping take it apart. It wouldn't take long if it's recently been put together and barely used.

BLB Are a fucking joke... and that dick with the tash,im gonna twat him if i ever see his arse again..
You're new, so perhaps you are unaware... but threats of violence aren't welcome on LFGSS and either will get you banned (best case scenario) or we'll gladly assist those who you threaten in taking it to the police (worst case scenario, oh and we'll ban you anyway).
Your post might just be bravado, but without all of the extra context of background and body language, who can tell. So tone it down, and realise that this just doesn't fly on here.

It makes me laugh when people try and price things up and wonder where the extra money goes on building this. Believe it or not, but not everybody does things for free. BLB are a business, they have to make money. If they don't make money, no BLB..
The price of labour ain't cheap.
Most people on this forum wait months for parts to come by at a right price, which is fine. If you want into a shop and give them a list of parts you want, you'll pay full retail.
I've seen with my own eyes a small independent retailer go down because of slanderous posts from internet users who don't have a fucking clue. Before you spurt out, you should realize actually how much a business costs to run. Not every business is a giant online business with warehouses in low cost areas, small amounts of staff who have not learnt there product and spend hours with there customers.

Well, I work in a bike shop and for 1700 pounds you can buy a lot nicer stuf.. I can understand that it's really expensive having a shop in London (ours is in Leeuwarden, The Netherlands), but this price difference compared to when you had bought it on the internet is far to much.. they can pay one month of rent with selling 1 bike like this.
