How about having a fixed gear mountain bike instead?

I would never do this, but then I have almost zero bike skillz ;-)

Which one do I sell!?
Sell the fixed. At a push, you can commute/go to the pub/race time trials on anything, but you probably can't ride your local trails (at least not enjoyably) on your fixed bike.

This I will do.
Hey guys I'm new on the forum and was hoping for your opinion...
Need to sell a bike due to no money and planning to travel soon.
I use both my fg and my mountain bike alot because I love both!
Which one do I sell!?Can you provide pics of each so we can help you make an informed decision?

I am 100% sure you have more than me.

Sell the least easily re-creatable bike. It would be much easier for me to build up an identical replacement for my track bike than my mtb.
That said, arguably it could be easier to build up a similar, but 'better' iteration of my mtb, but then it wouldn't be the bike i've had so many good rides on.

Keep the bikes and sell something else.

You must really love getting pedal strike ;)

pedal strike
These would eliminate pedal strike by destroying whatever they hit :-)
Including my legs :-s

Good place to test it.

With a lower gear.

And a freewheel option.

Am I being lured into epic forest? lol
I'll head there after my local trails (the heath) -

Hoping this predicted snow arrives so I can go out on the 29er and do mad wheel spinz. Even the simplest trails become so much more fun and technical.

Planning a trip to Chicksands for the XC trail at the weekend (I live fairly nearby) but keep reading about it being neglected and knackered, though nothing up to date. Has anyone been lately?
-
• #3968
I've not done the XC there, not even sure it's properly marked out, but there's a few trails to follow in the forest behind the bikepark. I thoroughly recommend the bikepark area though, lots of stuff to try

That stuff's way beyond my cojones I regret to admit. I've rolled down the 4x track a few times but my wheels stay firmly in contact with the ground.
The XC route used to be good fun though I've not been for years. Would be a shame if it's been wrecked.

38 miles on monday. Silence in the woods, cold hands, just over 4 hours of thinking about nothing but travelling and scenary.
