looking back at my photo of the 2009 riders list, only 17% (393) were foreigners and there were only meant to be 800 foreigners last year, of which there must have been a degree of over 60s.
Though its clearly more globally popular and commercial now, i think we stand a pretty good chance of getting in, and the under 60 Italians probably feel hardest done by.

Yeah, under 60's Italian's are really shafted.
Although there were only 800 non-nationals under 60 last year and 1000 this year. All of those 800 spaces were booked up in less than 10 hours. imagine how many applicants they'll have with the registration/lottery entry being open for nearly 6 weeks. Thousands I'll bet. I give us anywhere between 30%-50% chance of getting in.
