I first learnt about JFK on the television but did not watch it live. I had to listen to the moon landings on the radio. Same for the 1966 World Cuip. Sadly the Diana business was not screened live. While I watched the fiirst few Twin Peaks I never managed to catch anything beyond episode three. I have the boxed set but haven't got round to it yet. X Factor. Sorry.

My point being that you don't have to watch these things live to enjoy them (other than X Factor).
