If you have a smart phone (i'm sure there'll be light meter apps for other operating systems) then I'd give one of them a shot in the short term at least.
I sold my Soligor when I sold my MF kit, been meaning to get another ever since buying a LF camera but grudge spending £100+ for something that my iphone can do quite well. Also, that pinhole app is really helpful as it deals with super low film (or in my case, paper) speeds and super long exposures times.
