so I got an amazon voucher from my aunt for christmas and I never buy new games, I'm looking at either the new hitman or assassins creed. I know they're completely different but both look cool. Is either a significantly better game?

Depends on what type of games you enjoy.

Hitman looks good - not as sneaky as the previous games, I've heard the phrase 'dumbed down' thrown around a bit.

Never really played assassins creed.

suggestions for games you only need one hand (i.e. mouse) to play?

Just finished Spec Ops: The Line.

Fantastic storyline, just a shame you have to play through the game for it though.

My wife's grandparents bought her Doom 3 BFG.
Most random, she doesn't game...

If you enjoyed the old hitmans don't expect similar from the new one - it's completely different.

I would second that, it's turned into a poor stealth game, only 20-30% of the game is proper hitman style action, the rest is just hiding from people

Busted metacarpal. Been playing Vice City on my phone anyway. Probably not ideal.

So borderlands 2 is 15 on steam. Also natural selection is 7 quid.

Borderlands should be owned by everyone, its a hoot

I own the first but haven't put that many hours in to it.

2nd is more of the same but shinier!

have finished my first playthrough of borderlands 2 and currently on my second go through to get my character to lvl 50.

played as an assassin but i think the game isn't really well aimed at that class, I do ok with the long range disciplines specc'd but the bloodshed tree is almost impossible at lvl 30+ in areas with a lot of enemies.

I think siren or gunzerker would be more fun. will probably give one of those a go next.

santa never brought me dishounoured ( :( ) so i had to order it myself today, should be dispatching in next few hours.

once i've had a decent crack at that I'll get dark souls. but think i should stick to a 1-new game at a time rule

Ended up buying natural selection 2 last night. I really enjoyed the first this ones great.

i started Borderlands 2 as an assassin, but restarted as a Mechromancer when that launched,
not very far in TBH.

Just watched the mass effect film, it's pretty bad.

Purchased Halo 4 this morning. I am yet to play it but it looks pretty good. I hope it is!

it is - although the music I noticed is awful in places - and some of the action is straight out of Vanquish

I got home last night to find a copy of Portal 2 waiting for me as a christmas present. I've quite enjoyed playing it, but as with all FPS style games, I'm finding that I can't play it for very long, as it makes me feel sick :(

my copy of dishonoured has arrived. desperately trying to get some things ticked off my to-do list for the day before I start playing as I'm home alone and just know it'll turn into an 8-hour gaming session.

^I effing jeffing love Dishonored. Still haven't managed to complete it as my spare time seems to have gone down the drain. I will complete Halo this weekend though. Determined I am.

It's a great game. Most fun when played sneakily. Extra cred for not killing anyone or getting detected. Enjoy Hatbeard
