I got a few parts from them early this year, took ages for it to get delivery of the items as with everyones says above they didnt have the stem in stock, so I got them to swap it from the Cinelli to Deda (exactly same stem different decals) and then I got all the parts shortly after.
I dont think they are a con, they are just useless with stock control and customer service, some prices are worth it if you can wait it out.

I ordered a crank and freewheel. Two weeks later emailed them. Still nothing arrived. Then they said i had given them the wrong address and the package would be returned to them within 30 days. Im sure i gave them the correct address. This is when i came across this thread. DONT USE THEM!!!!!!!!!!!
5 weeks from ordering the crank and freewheel arrived. The crank had been used and the arms didn't match. It was only a cheap stronglight crank and i cant be botherd to send it back and wait another month for a replacement. DONT USE THEM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! -

So, as a counterpoint, I ordered the miche cranks they have on sale at the moment. It said on the page they were out of stock til friday the 12th. Sent an email Monday the 15th to confirm they had got them in and got a response saying yes and they would ship that day. Arrived thursday the 18th. Even got a ship confirmation email before the package. No probs bob. Judging by everyone elses experience i'd still be highly wary of using them but if you have already ordered prior to reading this thread you don't necessarily need to despair yet.

I'm assuming that was signed for? As far as I know they are terrible with things that don't need to be signed for and can fit through the letterbox. That is not definitive obviously but I assume this.

Just to reiterate, I've recieved what I ordered after two months of ordering and I still think they are crap and I'll never buy anything from them again. They didn't rob me of money, but of time.

I don;t know why people buy from this place. It's a shambles. And it's not the cheapest place.
-

It was the cheapest for a clamp on brake. But then again I would pay the extra money to actually get it posted to me on time.

It's the cheapest on some items but yes, I'd rather spend 10 quid more and have it in less than 2 months. Especially if it's something I'd have to buy online anyway.

Interesting to see this, they were cheapest for a Cinelli Ant stem I was thinking of getting, but a quick Google showed a few bad experiences.
They don't seem to be a scam but their customer service is rotten.
Annoyingly if they allowed pick up I could get to their alleged location in minutes. -

I'd like to give credit where credit is due. I was looking for some bits including Izumi V chain. I contacted Velodrome by e-mail to be told that the chain was out of stock but would be available in January.
The following day, Thursday 20th Dec, out of the blue, an e-mail arrived from Michelle at Velodrome to let me know that they now had some stock and I could place an order if I still needed the chain. Not many companies would have taken the time to do this unless by means of some automated service. My order was placed on Thursday. The package was despatched on Friday and arrived here today, Saturday 22nd.
With Christmas coming I was resigned to not receiving the parts I ordered until after Christmas so I was pleased with this service which allows me to do some essential maintenance this weekend before going back to work on Monday.
So thanks to Velodrome and Michelle in particular for service that, for me at least, was good and better than that of many of their competitors.

Company knows you want something.
You are offered it.
They get money.
= great service? -

I wrote "good service" not "great service". This is in the context of what has gone before in this thread, the fact that it's nearly Christmas and that they took the trouble to write to me to tell me what I wanted had become available.
I'm a happy customer.

The item wasn't advertised as not in stock then?

Another unlucky punter. I ordered a Sugino 75 BB. Money was charged to my account same day. No word of dispatch or order status. Does anyone have a contact number?

11 days to deliver my order, a vittoria diamante pro light clincher tyre and what I find in the post? a vittoria pista instead. Very upset. No phone number anywhere to contact them on their website so I write an email to customer service and I am surprised to see an answer after only two hours BUT guess what the lady says:
"The Vittoria Diamante Pro Light and Pro Pista are identical products, however the Pista version that you have received can take a higher PSI http://www.velodromeshop.net/index.php?p=product&id=2015 they are the same product so are still suitable for your intended usage."
Now I am fuming and wonder why I decided to buy something from these very unprofessional people! Should have read other comments on here first.SO, I have receive da reply from a customer service manager and yet again states that the vittoria diamante pro pista is the same as the pro light ignoring or failing to admit that the Pista has no puncture protection belt hence 20gr lighter and not suitable for outdoor velodrome use!
If still not happy I am offered to send the Pista tyre back recorded at my expense.
I did not expect the Velodrome Shop had such an unprofessional and rubbish customer service. Absolutely incredible for a shop specialising on track cycling.

Velodrome Shop replied to my complaint and still refuses to refund me the return costs despite they have sent the wrong goods. .
I have a receipt which says I have ordered a Vittoria Diamante Pro light clincher and I was sent a Vittoria Diamante pro pista.
These, as can be easiliy seen on the Vittoria website** http://www.vittoria.com/product/all-tires/ **are different products despite what the seller says.Anyone has been in a similar situation?

Damn...I guess I must be lucky. Had a completely different experience. Ordered some tools, lithium grease and cogs from them and got it delivered to my work in 3 days. This was a week ago. Maybe they are getting they're act together.

I am wishing I had researched velodromeshop before yesterday.
Yesterday I purchased a set of Kreitler Kompact Alloy 3.0 rollers from them. Their website offers a competitive price and clearly implies that they have them in stock (other items are listed as 'out of stock' but these weren't and still aren't labeled as such).
This morning I received an email off them informing me that they are out of stock and that they can not guarantee they will have any in stock before January of next year. It is now early September and I require the rollers to train indoors throughout the wet UK weather; waiting at least four months for the item to arrive defeats the object of me purchasing from them in the first place. I am already wishing I had purchased them elsewhere.
To give them credit, they have offered to ship me a similar set of rollers (Challenger model), which they claim to have in stock ready to ship immediately, and refund me the price difference of £50. This would raise an additional problem though in that my headwind fan accessory will cause premature end cap wear to the Challenger model's polycarbonate end caps which is not covered under the lifetime warranty. They have appologised for any inconvenience.
I had my heart set on training using the Kompact set of rollers that I initially chose and paid for, but as I require them ASAP I am coerced to request they ship me the alternative Challenger set today and refund me the difference. I shall also have to hope that the polycarbonate end caps do not wear out too soon.

why not ask for a full refund and buy them from somewhere else?
-

I was under the impression that getting a full refund off them would be a hassle (this has stressed me out a bit) - but I have just been reading their terms and conditions:
2.2 If after acceptance of your order we discover within 14 days of such acceptance that all of the goods are unavailable, we may terminate the contract and refund or re-credit you within 7 working days for any sum that has been paid by you or debited from your credit card for those goods. In these circumstances, we will inform you as soon as possible.
2.3 If within 14 days of our acceptance of your order we discover that some but not all of the goods are unavailable, we will no longer supply those unavailable goods. In these circumstances we will contact you detailing the goods that are unavailable and offer you the option of cancelling the whole order or amending your order to substitute the unavailable items with alternative goods. If you have not cancelled the order within 14 days of receipt of such notice, we will deliver the available goods in accordance with condition 4 below. We will refund or re-credit you for any sum that has been paid by you or debited from your credit card in respect of the unavailable goods or cancelled order (if you have cancelled it). I'll ask for my full refund and buy my training gear elsewhere. Thanks for your thoughts, sumo.

Distance selling regulations mean you have 7 days after receiving your order and any time before that to get a full refund without question.

I run headwind fan on polyend caps.
New drums are £140 quid for a set of 3. When in 5 years time I kill them, I'll buy a new set. If I kill a drum every 5 years, then that's 15 more years supply.
A chap has said he's been running polyend caps and headwind for years with no issue. It's hype!
But you should have bought from babol, they're wicked. Just get the nob at Vshop to refund you and buy from babol. Sign next day Fedex delivery included in the purchase price.
Although I am perfectly happy with my frame now, at the time I really wished I had UTFS.
Lessons learned and all that.
